05/07/08 - May Kanzashi Feature
Although originally intended to be launched on the 1st of every month, my
apologies for this article being put up later ... a bad case of the cold, but
luckily all is well now.
Anyway, I'm pleased to say that there is now a
article detailing the kanzashi that are typically represented during the month
of May, in the traditional sense of course.
Ah, the lovely iris and the
beautiful blooming wisteria! Please check the link to the right to learn more
about the structure and look of these wonderful
May kanzashi. Or visit the
kanzashi feature
section to learn more about other months. |

An in-depth look at the kanzashi of May.

An interview with the artist Regynx.

04/01/08 - April & An Artisan!
We have another kanzashi artisan
being featured this month known as
Regynx on
Flickr and
Little Cookie over
at Etsy. She has previously contributed
to the site by allowing me to use images of her
kanzashi and has been a very cool person to message.
To see
her
interview, please go to the
Artisan Feature
section located under Articles.
Also, available for the beginning of April is a more in depth view of the
traditional seasonal kanzashi worn during the month of
April. Please click the
April Kanzashi Feature image on the right or visit the
Kanzashi Feature section
also found in Articles to view more about April and other months.

As stated in the last update, two
artisans will be featured each month. That being the case, the next kanzashi
artisan interview, featuring
Amaebi, is up for your viewing pleasure located in the articles section
under artisan feature area.
Also, although not mentioned in this month's first update, an article featuring
a more in depth look into the month of
March kanzashi was added to the site. If
you haven't checked it out yet, please feel free to do so.

03/01/08 - Artisan Feature
To start off the month of March, the
Artisan Feature section has been launched.
This section holds various
interviews with kanzashi artists.
I am hoping that these interviews bring greater
understanding towards the craft of kanzashi making, as well as an awareness of
talented and inspired artists in the kanzashi & kimono community.
Every month, two kanzashi artists will be featured. Kanzashi Garden's very
first interview was taken with the very nice Songbird. To see her feature,
please look in the
artisan feature section located in the articles area.
